The Voter Outreach & Immigrant Community Engagement (VOICE) Fellowship (nee CELF Fellowship) is designed to connect APA immigrant communities to civic engagement opportunities. In this intensive fellowship program, fellows actively engage and build trust with APA immigrant citizens to support the community’s self-empowerment and civic engagement. This year’s class will focus on providing in-language support for voter registration and engagement in the San Gabriel Valley.
Participating fellows are provided with opportunities to acquire valuable skills and build crucial professional networks that will enhance the participants’ careers and effectiveness as community leaders. Fellows will also learn about the democratic process and how to empower a constituent population through community outreach and engagement.
The ideal candidates will be pursuing or have received a degree in the fields of Political Science, Public Policy, and Public Administration. All who are interested in APA affairs and empowering immigrant communities are encouraged to apply. The ideal participant will also have language skills, especially those that the Los Angeles County is mandated to provide in-language voting materials for (Chinese, Cambodian, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese).
Please note that this fellowship is highly competitive. Only 2 fellows will be selected for this program.
